How does RainCheq pricing work?

You can buy RainCheq once for $15 and get all core features (forecasting, envelopes, recurring activity, balance alerts, etc.) forever. RainCheq+ features (automatic transaction sync, AI categorization, online access, etc.) are available for the first 30 days, opt in or out at any time.

A RainCheq+ subscription includes a lifetime license for RainCheq. When your RainCheq+ subscription ends, RainCheq's core features stay active forever. The subscription exists because RainCheq+ features incur ongoing costs.

Do I need to create an account?

No. RainCheq runs locally on your device. There's no account creation, no email signup, no cloud sync required. Your data stays on your computer.

Is my financial data secure?

Yes. All data is stored locally on your device in an SQLite database. Your data never leaves your computer unless you explicitly export it. We don't collect, store, or transmit your financial information to any servers. See the Automated Transaction Sync section of our Privacy Policy for more details.

Can I use RainCheq offline?

Yes! Because RainCheq runs locally and stores data on your device, you can use it completely offline. The only features that require internet are RainCheq+ features like automatic transaction syncing, AI categorization, and online access.

What is an envelope?

An envelope lets you allocate funds for specific purposes within a single account. For example, you might have $4,000 in your savings account but allocate $1,000 as an "emergency fund" and $2,500 as "vacation savings" as envelopes within RainCheq. RainCheq helps you organize your money and anticipate when you will be able to pay off that loan or take that dream vacation.

How do I import transactions?

Export your transactions from your bank then upload the files to RainCheq. Optionally, connect your accounts to RainCheq+ with automatic transactions syncing.

Can RainCheq make changes to my bank account?

No. RainCheq never makes any changes to your bank account. When you connect accounts for automatic transaction sync (RainCheq+), the sync is one-way: the app only reads your transactions. The app cannot transfer money or make any other changes to your accounts.

What bank file formats do we support?

We are adding new formats all the time, so let us know if there is another format you would like to see supported. RainCheq currently supports:
